Fare system
ATB System is the fare system in use for travelling within Bergamo city and the 29 surrounding municipalities, or rather, within the Urban Area and allows to travel with the same ticket by ATB buses and funiculars and by the T1 Bergamo- Albino tramway .
With the current electronic ticketing system single, multi-trips (from One to Five or More Zones) and 24- or 72- hours tickets are charged on a chip-on-paper.
Tickets charged can be more than one only if they are of the same type.
Chip-on-paper is reusable.
Paper tickets can be used no later than 30th June 2024.
Types of tickets
The different types of tickets are designed to meet passengers' needs.
With ATB System you have at your disposal:
- single tickets
- 10-trips tickets
- tourist tickets
- group tickets
- family and friends
Travel tickets are non-transferable.
To travel throughout the entire regional territory, you can purchase Io Viaggio Ovunque In Lombardia tickets and passes.
Purchase methods and authorised points of sale
ATB tickets can be purchased:
- from ATB Mobile app with credit card
- at the on-board automatic vending machine with coins or bank cards
- at Passa e Vai system validator with contactless credit/debit or prepaid card
- at the authorized points of sale with the payment methods accepted by the single seller
- at the automatic vending machine
The use of bank cards means no bank transaction fees charged to the customer.
